The dog who cried "Woof" by Piso Mojado

This ia a nice humorous story that can either be a favorite bedtime story or a good read for late elementary or middle school readers. It tells the story of Fred the watchdog, a perceptive canine who is nearly banned by the people of his village but finally shows the human beings the error of their ways. This is another "canine-centric" children's story, a type of humorous tale in which the dog is more knowledgeable than the humans he is trying to help.
I've tried to move the plot very quickly (what parent wants a long bedtime story?) and I've inserted some repetitions so that young listeners do not lose any of the story line. There is a surprise ending in the last few lines that I believe young listeners will greatly enjoy.
