I live in the pretty wee seaside town of Comox, BC, but I have lived in Courtenay, Nanaimo, Edmonton, Dawson Creek and the place from where I sprouted, Dauphin, Manitoba. I love the island and the special people that are as lucky as I am to be here....

I have traveled extensively which has taught me one thing above all else: The only thing more important than family is my stash of little white knock-out pills used for flying.

I am married to a wonderful man who I met when we both sang in an Opera Company up North in Dawson Creek: see picture above of me and the ladies of the chorus in " La Traviata ". Peter is best described as a ‘Vito Corleone' clone...Marlon Brando’s character in The Godfather. The words “Your husband looks just like Marlon Brando!” have been whispered in my ear around the world. Good news is that he’s from Germany, not Sicily, so vendettas are not a burning issue in our household. Which leads me to my favorite Bette Midler quote: “I married a German. Every night I dress up as Poland and he invades me.”

I have five children: four adults long flown and one teenager still in the nest. My three grandchildren live in Oz and that is far too far away. We're talking Shrek Far Far Away here...

I see art and a story in everything I see. It is both a curse and a blessing.

That's me in a nutshell. My husband always says he is never worried about losing me when we go out…he only has to listen for laughter and he’ll find me there. Now, isn’t that a sweet thing to say?
