Richard: It's In His Blood by Linda Rae Blair
Part 3 of Ms. Blair's Chicago Trilogy, "Intersections: Love, Betrayal, Murder."
Richard hails from a family of cops. Richard's father is murdered and he discovers his mother is sleeping with the man Richard believes is the killer. Unable to continue working on the same police force with his father's killer, Richard relocates to Chicago.
A new job, a new friend, and a new love bring joy and challenges to his life.
Chicago is not the best place for an honest cop in the early 20th century. Richard must work with and around a series of crooked mayors, police chiefs, and cops. Then there are the days of Capone, Moran, and the other hoods that made a cop's life interesting and certainly could make it shorter!
Enjoy this completion to the stories of Mary, Claire, and Richard.
About The Author...
Linda Rae Blair
Raleigh artist, Linda Rae Blair, has traveled the U.S. extensively. With a family history of Scots-Irish immigrants to the U.S. around the time of the revolution and as a 13th generation direct descendant to John Alden & Priscilla Mullins, pilgrims of Mayflower fame, she has always been a lover of history. She combines these into sagas that are interesting to history buffs and lovers of romance and mystery. Her descriptions of the countryside are vivid and her characters come to life for the reader.
Read her latest romance/mystery saga, "100 Years of Brotherly Love". Enjoy the scenery and people of New Mexico and the ties that keep these blood brothers as close as any family can be.
The 1st in The Preston Andrews Mysteries series, "Hard Press'd", has a deadly villain, a gorgeous FBI agent and Preston Andrews (watch out ladies...this homicide detective is HOT HOT HOT). You can almost taste the salt in the ocean breezes of Virginia Beach.
The 2nd book in The Preston Andrews Mysteries series, "Press'd Into Action" finds our hero, Press, "volunteered" by FBI Director Malcolm Probst (not Press's favorite human being). On the up side, FBI Special Agent Rachel Wilding is assigned to work with Press again. The killer is cunning, but then so is the team sent into the mountains of Virginia to hunt him down.
#3 In The Preston Andrews Mysteries series, "Press'd To The Wall" finds Press desperate to save someone he loves from a serial killer hunting in the streets of Seattle. Malcolm Probst, Director of the FBI, is, in Press's mind, unusually cooperative. Well, why shouldn't he be--this could be his fault--at least Press is willing to think so. The Virginia Beach team heads to Seattle to find the killer and come to the rescue, but will they make it in time? Will Press come out a winner, or lose everything he holds dear?
#4 In The Preston Andrews Mysteries series, "Press On" has just been released. Press is heart-broken, angry, depressed, and taking it out on everyone around him. Lt. Wallace puts him on leave before his homicide squad implodes. The department shrink give Press some advice that he decides to take. He and Jones are packed and off to Maine where a killer is wreaking havoc!
