indie ebook cover

Mehen Pet Tha, and Melcazar El Sharif flee Babylon, to travel to Egypt, where Ramses the Great awaits them. Traveling with those they love, they face danger, despite Melcazar's desert tribe journeying with them. For Melcazar, the journey is painful. Grieving all he's left behind, he must navigate his way across vast stretches of desert with followers and tribe. For Mehen, who looks forward to reuniting with Ramses, he must put his trust in the man whose actions have bought them to this journey. For the others; there is a feeling of both anticipation and fear as well as grief and anger at setting forth into the unknown. As they journey, each finds their own challenges. For Raxafar El Sharif, Melcazar's brother, there is a daily reminder of the love affair that resulted in a child. Nepthys, caught between Mehen and Melcazar, finds solace in Dinni, who himself is finding that his destiny is changing. Galia welcomes the journey, and is intrigued by the compelling and mysterious Rax, but can she put behind her the pain of her past and find happiness again?
Love, danger, new allies, and adventure await as the Lords of the Desert face a new life ahead. But will all that has befallen them bring them to what they seek? Or will unexpected circumstances bring to each revelation about themselves and an unexpected parting?

Debra Hoffmann Knowles

Deb Hoffmann Knowles has loved writing since she was eight years old and wrote her first cat story. If you love historical fiction or vampires, you're going to love her books where cats weave in and out with the main characters. She's also written a nonfiction book about her years working at a New York animal shelter as well as co-authoring with her spirit cat Orange Ruffy a wonderous book of cat poetry and stories 'From the Between'.
When not writing, she spends time with her rescue cats, does TNR (trap, neuter, release) with her husband Jim and oversees her rescue cats. A native New Yorker, she lives now in a small town in coastal Alabama.
