Tricia L. McDonald
Tricia L. McDonald is no stranger to writing. As owner of Splattered Ink Press (www.splatteredinkpress.com), Tricia has a hands-on approach to guiding others in the writing process.
As a writing coach, Tricia teaches creative writing classes to adults, edits manuscripts, facilitates writing groups, helps writers prepare their manuscripts for publication, and works one-on-one with writers to hone their writing skills.
As a publisher, Tricia completes the process by publishing books.
She is an internationally published author, a public speaker and writing coach who lives and writes in West Michigan. On a volunteer basis, Tricia teaches writing classes at North Ottawa Council On Aging and Gilda's Club.
Her Life With Sally series: Little White Dog Tails and Still Spinnin' Tails are compilations of stories chronicling life with her miniature bull terrier, and were published in December 2009 and 2011, respectively. She also writes a monthly column, Life With Sally, for Cats and Dogs Magazine - catsanddogsmagazine.com.
Tricia's latest book Quit Whining Start Writing: A Novelist's Guide to Writing is a guide to help writers put away the excuses and get the writing done. It was published in March 2012.
Tricia has also been published in Cup of Comfort for Mothers & Sons Anthology, The Breastfeeding Diaries Anthology, Mom Writer's Literary Magazine, Cup of Comfort for Mothers, I Love Cats Magazine and Oxygen Magazine.
he is an active member of the Michigan-based writers group, Peninsula Writers, where she has coordinated yearly retreats and acts as editor of the newsletter. She is also an active member of Toastmasters International.
Through her affiliation and work with Peninsula Writers and Toastmasters, Tricia has garnered experience organizing and presenting writing workshops, retreats and presentations.
