Ms. Graham grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and has lived in California almost all her life. She was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus and was also born transgender. She was born male and has not decided yet whether to transition to being female fully.

She has loved writing poetry ever since she was a child. She was on the editorial board of Toyon in 2009 and was the poetry editor for the national edition of the 2008 Red Wheelbarrow Literary Magazine. Also, her poems "Flickering Flames", "Nuts", and "Vision" were published previously in the student edition of the 2007 Red Wheelbarrow Literary Magazine, under the name "Brian Leigh Graham."

Her first poetry book, "Breathing Into The Sunlight" is available in paperback and hardcover from Blurb Books and as an e-book from most major e-book retailers, including Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Apple's iBooks, Sony, Diesel, and Smashwords.
