Fiasco Galante by William Frank

The Fiasco Galante is a book of poetry that fits neatly in its culture, an exploration of degree and a celebration of the vivid festival of life. It is color and imagination in the ambling between high art and low-budget romp, joy and sadness, brutality and fun, love and distance. It is a lyrical book with formal style, mixing traditional music with broken furniture.

However books entice readers to take a chance or, midway through, fillip you to keep us on the nightstand and press on, I can only humbly ask or offer, What other book of poetry are you reading that has Elephants, Henchmen, cookies, hypnotists, buffi, stuffed animals, curlicues, lullabyes, love, reflection and chase that this one should not join?

William Frank

William Frank is a remotely swashbuckling author with an extensive list of performances in and around New York City, a classically trained writer with a Master’s Degree in English.

For more than 20 years, he has been blessed to read extensively as part of a tandem with DW Stojek, as a well-received feature speaker and a dynamic contributor to open readings at such venues as the Dodge Poetry Festival, Canio's Books and the Poetry Project at St Mark’s Church. He was a runner-up for the 2008 Discovery/The Boston Review prize offered by the 92nd Street Y and his first book of poetry, The Morphine Fawn, is his homage to traditional forms, free narratives, folklore and all festivals big and small.

The Encolpia, is a sonnet sequence of spiritual vagrancy, a meditation importuned.

His new book, Fiasco Galante, is the kind of romp almost guaranteed not to provoke psychoses.
