He said he needed her in his life...He swore that he wanted her more than he ever wanted any other woman...But love?

That was never part of the bargain.

Sarah Deardon loved two things: Dancing and Vincent Allen. She struggled for years to become the best at the studio while nursing her crush.

When a tragic accident destroys her dreams of dancing, Sarah turns her full attention to Mr. Allen and pursues him with the same relentless determination that she had used dancing.

Vincent keeps her at bay, trying to let her get through high school and college, even putting an ocean between them. His absence opens the door for the sexy rebel Robert Stewart.

Dana Michelle Burnett

Dana Michelle Burnett was born and raised in beautiful Southern Indiana. Early on, she discovered the magic of book and stories. "I was always making stories up, even before I was old enough to write them down, and acting them out for anyone that would hold still."

She was in high school when she read the classic Lolita, which opened her up to the idea that the most fascinating characters are not pillars of society, but individuals full of flaws."

Once Burnett graduated from high school, she worked a series of minimum wage jobs while she finished her first novella. "It was awful, but I was so proud to finish it. I started it in high school and finished it a few years after I graduated. Reading it from start to finish, I was able to see how I grew as a writer and a person over that period of time."

She earned a guest columnist spot with her local newspaper, The Tribune, which is published out of New Albany, Indiana in 1991 and 1992. Her assignment was to write four articles over the course of the year. The articles were People Only Have Themselves To Blame, Keeping Teens From Sexual Mistakes, Take Time To Remember Holiday's Real Meaning, and What Do We Really Need To Know.

After the birth of her daughter, Burnett focused more on her writing. She was published in the Above and Beyond section of Just Labs for a piece entitled You Get What You Give, which appeared in the 2003 September/October issue. Cats & Kittens published Louis: A Confused Feline in the July 2004 issue. Outsider Ink published Not That Bad in the Spring/Summer 2004 issue. She had a flash fiction piece entitled My Little Secret that was published in the 2005 issue of Mindprints: A Literary Journal. Foliate Oak Literary Magazine also published an excerpt of her fiction novel, Ghost Country, entitled John Lennon and the Chicken Holocaust in the February 2006 edition and it was included in their Best of Foliate Oak issue. Another excerpt of Ghost Country entitled Spring appeared in the winter 2007 issue of Mobius.
