Riley Mansfield never wanted to be a hero. All he wanted to do was write songs, smoke weed and mind his own business.
Then he gets on a plane and prevents an apparent terrorist from blowing it up.
Now everyone wants a piece of Riley. It's a presidential election year. Both parties pursue him. A Rolling Stone writer is following him.
Gradually, it becomes obvious to Riley and his girlfriend, Melissa Franklin, that something is dreadfully wrong. Something even darker is at work.
His life is in danger unless he does what the government wants.
Riley doesn't like to be pushed around. This hero business won't leave him alone.

Monte Dutton

Monte Dutton spent 20 years traveling the U.S., writing mainly about automobile racing. His first non-sports book, True to the Roots: Americana Music Revealed, was published in 2007.
Since then, he has been writing fiction: The Audacity of Dope (2011), The Intangibles (2013), Crazy of Natural Causes (2015), Forgive Us Our Trespasses (2016), Cowboys Come Home (2016), Lightning in a Bottle (2017) and Life Gets Complicated (2017).
