The Untouchables by Dennis Long
Too often the story is incomplete. The full picture is rarely painted. Pieces of the puzzle always seem to be missing. There are six crayons in the box of eight. Its seems incomplete. Either one side of the story is told or the other. Its seems rare when the complete story is shared. I am talking about the Christian faith. Very rare is the entire picture of our faith told. Either one side or the other of the story is shared. Here is what I mean: Our faith has two sides, the bad news and the good news. Too often you hear the bad news (hell, sin, judgement) exclusively or just the good news (love, hope, peace).
Up until the 1990’s the emphasis of our faith seemed to be hell, fire, and brimstone. There was many sermons, books, and Bible studies focused on the reality of sin, judgement, and hell. Then a transition began to take place. That pendulum swing now has moved us to an emphasis on God’s love, God’s plans, God’s purposes, and God’s grace. All great and true topics. Where this book steps in is that both of these emphasis are true. While sin, judgement, and hell may seem “untouchable” in today’s world it takes a true understanding of these topics to fully appreciate God’s love, God’s purposes, God’s plans, and God’s grace. That’s the full picture.
The way our faith is designed it takes both to fully understand and appreciate the depth of our faith. This book is designed to present to you the complete story of these truths and show God’s great love for you.
It’s time to see the full painting.
It’s time to have all the puzzle pieces.
It’s time to have a complete box of crayons.
It’s time to hear the full the story.
