Amethyst (#1 of the Guardian series) by Heather Bowhay and Gary Fisher

indie ebook cover

College-bound Lexi Adams leads no ordinary life. Premonitions dictate her every move, compelling her to rescue strangers day and night. After years of self-sacrifice, she ignores one and innocent people die. So when the next premonition depicts her own death, Lexi knows fate has come full circle. As if an ill-fated future isn’t enough to deal with, her small town is rocked with murders, and co-worker Jessica Nelson insists Lexi can help.

According to Jessica, everyone is born with an inner energy called Essence. Only a select few, Amethysts, can control Essence and heal people. Jessica claims to be an Amethyst and asks Lexi to join her and a group of her friends as they track the murderers. But Lexi discovers secrets run deep among Jessica’s friends. Not only do they all harbor extraordinary abilities and a hidden agenda, they have connections with the Ray-pacs – the sadistic killers who are preying on human Essence. Ultimately, Lexi must decide if life and love, not death, equals salvation. And if so, is she willing to make the necessary sacrifices to eradicate the Ray-pacs?

Amethyst is the first novel in the Guardian series, a spellbinding, young adult, urban fantasy series. Book two, Linked, and book three, Dentelle, are also available.

About The Author...

indie author

Heather Bowhay and Gary Fisher

Heather Bowhay lives in Washington with her husband, daughter, son (on occasion when he is home from college), mother, brother, and several cats. She graduated from WWU with her teaching certificate, with endorsements in English and Psychology. Substitute teaching gives her balance: time for family, exercising, cooking, reading, and of course, writing. She loves cookie dough ice cream, Thai food, the Denver Broncos first, and the Seattle Seahawks second.

Amethyst is her first novel in the Guardian series - a YA, paranormal romance, fantasy. The sequels, Linked and Dentelle are also available in eBook format.

To start 2019 off feeling productive and happy, she self-published, along with her brother and co-author, Gary Fisher, the first two eBooks in a YA/teen, magical fantasy series! Awakening is book one of the Sorciel Saga, and The Mysteries of Margorth is book two. She hopes they will publish the third book The Fallen at the end of the year!
