From her first day at Skyline High School in Oakland, California, 14-year-old Anna Trapani’s life begins to change. Katherine Briganti Cobb was born and raised in California and currently lives in the mid-Atlantic, where she has contributed for numerous publications. Her award winning editorial column, “It Is What It Is,” for The Journal won first place for Best Lifestyle Columnist by the West Virginia Press Association. She has earned other writing awards from the WVPA in her career. Cobb has authored short stories and several books.
