Natural Born Leader-A Tribute to the American Political System by Robert L. Schmidt

Natural Born Leader-A Tribute to the American Political System is a political satire that will help erase the anxiety caused by the 2016 presidential race and, for many, an even greater anxiety over what will happen the next four years. Bill "Tex" Flowers, a hard partying senator from the Lone Star state, has an inside edge on the Republican presidential nomination. Bill has a wife, children and a dangerous father-in-law, but he also has an uncontrollably wandering eye. Bill's troubles begin when he discovers his latest fling isn't a political contributor's wife, she's Lola the adult film star. Lola is working for Bill's primary rival for the nomination, billionaire real estate mogul Ronald Tripp. The Ronald is a hardball, scorched earth businessman who isn't above a little blackmail to improve his chances. Bill's father, retired senator George Flowers Sr., and his campaign manager, Don Chambers, advise Bill to drop out. George Sr. isn't content to sit on the sidelines and let The Ronald run away with the nomination, though. He decides he'll just substitute his younger son George Jr. for Bill. There are some hurdles for George Jr. to get elected. He has no political experience, he doesn't have a wife or girlfriend and he hasn't developed beyond the intellectual capacity of a first grader. George Sr. starts by recruiting one of his executives, Martha Wilson, to act as George Jr.'s fake fiancée and future first lady. You might think a first grade intellect would make running for president a challenge. With Martha and Don's coaching and the voters faith in their candidate, George Jr. always seems to stay on message. The Ronald promises the right wing their fantasy world-guns for all, a moat between the US and Mexico, state sponsored Christianity and an end to the abomination of fluoridated water. The Ronald and George Jr. run a race for the White House that is seldom a straight line. In America, anyone, absolutely ANYONE, has a shot to be President.
