Queen of a Kind: Year One - Let the Reign Begin by Sheila Michelle

| The Beaumont Queen shoe fits no other than Grace Elizabeth Garrett, and she’s been confirmed to the world as Beaumont High School’s 20th Queen. Her fairy tale, four-year journey begins as the world’s one-of-a-kind high school queen on her first day of school her freshman year, but she will soon find out that it’s anything but a fairy tale.
Grace sees just how real being Beaumont’s 20th Queen is when she attends her first day of school, and is instantly the most popular high-school freshman girl in the world. Knowing that no other girl in the world is a one-of-a-kind high school queen like her, she tries hard to act like a typical teen, but it’s harder to do than she thinks it is when she has to deal with more haters than she ever thought she would have to deal with. It’s also hard for her to control her crush-at-first-sight on fellow freshman Ace Williamson — and the feeling is very mutual — but there’s a problem. Since Grace is Beaumont Queen, she is under a strict contract where she is not allowed to date, and she knew this when she signed the contract when she became Beaumont Queen. Never did she think she would crush this hard on a boy so fast, and she also never thought that she would have a potential stalker on her hands as well who happens to be a senior by the name of Nick Tate, and Nick has a past with Grace’s predecessor, Beaumont’s 19th Queen Victoria Chandler — and it isn’t a good one, so this now has Grace fearing for her whole first year as Beaumont Queen that she could be Nick’s next target, and this isn’t all. About The Author...
Sheila Michelle
Sheila Michelle has been a book lover ever since she fell in love with Judy Blume books over 30 years ago while in middle school. Today, she's a full-time writer and writes both young adult and adult commercial fiction.
Sheila likes to write mostly young adult books that are dark, edgy, mysterious, and suspenseful that's filled with teen drama. She also likes to add a humorous element to them as well, and there's always some romance, whether sweet or erotic. But most of all, she likes to have important messages in her books that she wants every girl to learn from, and it's important that these messages are not overlooked. Her characters are usually beautiful, conceited teen girls who are in a serious need of an attitude adjustment (Popular Girls), as well as ones that are considered to be some of the luckiest girls in the world, but have to deal with a lot of issues that no one would ever want to have to deal with (Queen of a Kind; School, Sex and Secrets). Writing has always been a passion of hers, and will continue to be.
When she's not writing, she loves reading mostly non-fiction, but will read anything that she finds interesting. When she's not writing or reading, she loves looking at YouTube videos, going to concerts, eating spicy foods, watching old and new movies and TV shows, and shopping online and in stores that she can't seem to stay out of. A native of Wisconsin, she lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.
