Fox De Luxe

Thank God and FDR, because prohibition has finally come to an end! FOX DE LUXE is a 68,000 word, historical fiction mystery that is deeply rooted in truth. In reality, Peter Fox Brewing Company existed and prospered in Chicago throughout the 1930s-40s. I am the proud great-great-granddaughter of one of the nine Fox brothers who ran the company, and while my story itself is pure fiction, it is filled to the frothy brim with many truths that have been passed down over the years. Prohibition's end prompts Sam, David, and John Fox to transform their late father's hugely profitable Chicago poultry commission into a brewery. Quickly, Fox Brothers Brewery is born and becomes an overnight success, but that success comes with immediate costs. While much of Chicago is enamored with the young brothers, there are many enemies both hidden and larger-than-life. When Tribune reporters, scorned lovers, bar owners, and even mob members prove to be worthy adversaries, the Foxes must scramble to save both their company and lives from a motivated assailant whose actions accelerate from vandalism and arson, to cold-blooded murder.
