Spotlight On Indie Author Elizabeth Anderson
indie author Elizabeth Anderson

Elizabeth Anderson was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania, where her grandfather worked as a conductor for the B&O Railroad, but moved to Buffalo, New York, in 1980. She currently lives in Tonawanda, New York, with her husband and child. She worked for 27 years for an attorney who became a New York State Senator and now a Court of Claims/Supreme Court Justice. Deciding not to follow her employer into the New York Court System, Elizabeth put most of her focus into self-publishing her romantic fantasy novels that had been her true passion for many years. The first book of one of her epic adventures, Destiny's First Awakening, Book One of the Chosen One Prophecy, was published August 15, 2017. In addition to writing, she shares a passion for cooking, crafts and camping.

Destiny's First Awakening

The eight rebels ran headfirst into the Grogs, swinging their mazers straight and true. Each sliced and dodged, plunging their weapons with deadly accuracy. Minutes and a few minor wounds later, they had reduced the Grog soldiers to only two alive to continue the fight. "Go, Derrick!" Jodel yelled. "Get to Jo! We'll be right behind you." Derrick started running toward the wooden building. When he heard Josephine's scream followed by a loud crash, his heart stopped for a minute. "Josephine!" Derrick shouted and began running faster than he had ever run in his life. Derrick kept his eyes on the building ahead of him...all the while praying he was not too late. He had to reach her. He could not fail her a second time. Suddenly, the wooden planks he was focusing on exploded outward with a deafening roar. Derrick was knocked to the ground as wood and glass flew everywhere. Large boards came shooting forward and he ducked to avoid being hit by them. The others had been a few feet behind Derrick. They all dove to the ground and covered their heads momentarily. Everyone watched in astonishment as three Grog bodies were also flung through the air. Their lifeless forms landed in a crumbled heap ten feet from where Derrick sat on the ground. Absolute silence fell upon the depot. Everyone jumped to their feet and whipped their heads from the Grog bodies to the building. Half of the front was now gone. There was a gaping hole surrounded by jagged edges of wood that had been torn apart by a tremendous force. From out of the destruction, a large figure walked through the gap. It passed through the dust and floating splinters of wood. The figure stopped. He was a Grog of massive size and there was blood flowing freely from his left shoulder. And in his arms he carried the limp, still body of Josephine. * * Josephine and her companions battle their way through a planet that was invaded by beasts from afar, relying on faith and heart to find the Chosen One and help bring freedom to all. With all they must face...including their own inner demons...can they find her before the Grog find them?
