Notes from Nadir Fiction - General

"Notes from Nadir" is Lisa Maliga's fictionalized tale of discovering that the past is never quite through with you -- even if you think it is. She's a determined writer who leaves her Midwestern home to become a Hollywood screenwriter. After years of working a series of temp jobs and almost making it in Los Angeles, financial troubles force her return to the flyover country she's renamed Nadir.

Lisa moves in with her ailing Mom, tries to find work, meets her relatives, and attempts to adapt to a much smaller city filled with memories of her younger, more hopeful self.

If noon is Zenith then Nadir is 6:30. And it was 6:29 and counting down. Way down.

I WANT YOU: Seduction Emails from a Narcissist Humor

Arlen J. Stevenson is a narcissist who uses his scant literary accomplishments to entice his online victims. Meeting and seducing vulnerable women is what drives this Alabama-born man. He flirts heavily with them via email or instant messages and often meets them in his lake house or at the woman's place.

These emails are presented in the raw to reveal how Arlen charms and lures these women. Being the owner of a vast MySpace site, he has access to thousands of victims. "I Want You: Seduction Emails from a Narcissist" is comprised of various emails that show Arlen's arc of seduction with 18 different women. You'll meet poetic Southern Pecan, desperate Betsy, flirty Debra, and new divorcee Ginger.

Arlen admits to that he's married so the gals appreciate his honesty. The love and long term relationships he proposes to the women lasts as long as it satisfies his ego and sexual cravings.

This is a unique volume as it can be read as either a sequel or a prequel to "Love Me, Need Me: A Narcissist's Tale."

Contains graphic language and sexual content.

Love Me, Need Me: A Narcissist's Tale Humor

"Love Me, Need Me: A Narcissist's Tale" is about a bumbling sexual predator, narcissist, and author of three insipid zombie books. Middle-aged Arlen J. Stevenson hails from Alabama. His relentless and often hilarious pursuit of women online leads him to our other protagonist, Los Angeles-based writer of term papers, Helena Hoffman.

She isn’t aware of what Arlen is as she only sees his amusing and entertaining side in their daily email correspondence.

Told in alternating points of view, we see Arlen’s self-absorbed lifestyle as he endeavors to screw his numerous catches all over the South. Helena and Arlen get friendlier via their online communication, and he invites her to be his personal manager because of her communications skills, gullibility factor and location. Unlike his other victims, she never sends him pictures of herself, but she launches a MySpace site for his new company. Soon he realizes there are thousands of available women in his region alone! Unlike the jailbait that many online stalkers pursue, Arlen chases after their mothers and grandmothers. Helena is aware of his perpetual cheating and decides to investigate it in person. What happens after that is alternately scary and darkly humorous.

This controversial book contains graphic sexual content and language.

Paranormal Reality: Investigating Paranormal State Paranormal

"Paranormal State" made its debut on the A&E network in December 2007. This documentary program was comprised of an enthusiastic team of college students from Penn State University who wanted to help those troubled by unexplained phenomena. The Paranormal State/Paranormal Research Society's motto was, "To trust, honor, and always seek the truth." The show starred founder and director Ryan Buell along with his group of technicians, investigators and occult specialists. On most of his investigations he was assisted by such paranormal celebrities as Chip Coffey, Lorraine Warren, Chad Calek, and Michelle Belanger. The team was involved with helping frightened people and collecting evidence of the unexplained.

After five seasons and more than 75 episodes, the rumors of staged scenes, questionable evidence, misleading editing, and dissatisfied clients are explored. As other paranormal programming comes along imitating this style of presentation, it's vital that the problems are investigated.

"Paranormal Reality: Investigating Paranormal State" is the first and only book of its kind to take an independent look inside this unique paranormal reality TV show. The authors uncover both positive and negative elements. In their quest to reveal the foundation on which this show was built, they unearth some startling secrets. With a step-by-step analysis of every episode, the authors present the facts. They give voice to those present on the set ranging from production staff, former clients, and various para-celebrities.

Casual viewers and diehard fans of the program are taken beyond the thermal cameras, EVPs, atmospheric music, and sound effects.

Authors Kirby Robinson and Lisa Maliga spent countless hours viewing footage and listening to audio tracks. They interviewed former clients, production team members, current and former PRS crew members, and various para-celebrities. The reader journeys behind the scenes of what might be the most controversial paranormal reality show to air on cable TV.

"Paranormal Reality: Investigating Paranormal State" will keep the reader up past Dead Time – not trembling in fear but discovering the truth of paranormal reality.
