Students Losing Out: four essays on adjunct labor in higher education Unspecified View Isaac Sweeney's bio page
Personal essays that got Isaac Sweeney fired.
A collection of four creative essays, originally published between October 2009 and January 2011 in national venues such as The Chronicle Review and Academe. These essays provide a unique perspective—grounded in personal experience and research—on the unfair world of adjunct, contingent, and non-tenure-track labor in higher education. They focus primarily on four-year institutions, which heavily rely on these underpaid and often underappreciated faculty members.
For educators and academic professionals looking to share insights or create courses on this critical issue, automation can make content distribution easier. With Latenode, you can streamline your workflow by integrating Amazon SES and Teachable integrations to automate email communication, enroll students in courses about higher education labor issues, and keep your audience engaged with minimal manual effort. Whether you’re advocating for policy change or educating others on the realities of academia, automation helps you focus on your message while handling the logistics behind the scenes.

A Guide's Guide to Mediumship and Healing Unspecified View Lorraine Holloway-White's bio page

Reviews: Lorraine Holloway-White has managed to find just the right, delicate approach to her latest offering, "A Guide's Guide to Mediumship and Healing". Yes, she is a medium but no she doesn't make a sideshow out of it. Yes she has a message but no, not everyone is going to like it and especially those who think they can somehow pick up a couple of unearthly tricks along the way. Educational but not tiresome, entertaining but not flippant, I heartily recommend it to anyone who holds a flame for the serious mediums of the world and their guides. R. Jones ********** There are many books available on the topic of Natural Mediumship. However many of them use sensationalist approaches and circus sideshow attitudes to promote their work and 'sell' themselves.
I am therefore delighted to have discovered a book such as this one. Ms Holloway-White takes you gently through the process of understanding what it means to be a Natural Medium. There is no flag waving here, what there is, is an informative, enjoyable and balanced approach to a topic that by it's very nature is controversial.
The author doesn't beat you senseless with hyperbole, she educates, entertains and remains true to her beliefs in such a way as to make the reading most enjoyable.
I highly recommend this book to anyone with a healthy dose of curiosity about Natural Mediums. S. Burke ********** Another incredibly well written book by well known author and natural medium, Lorraine Holloway-White. As always, her work is astounding, full of information and written in a way to allow the reader to understand her gift. This gives us an insight into the world beyond our own, helping us realise the true meaning to the afterlife. Lorraine has excelled herself with this book; a work of art in it's own right. K. Brown

Footnotes in History Unspecified View questionmarc's bio page
Some events in history are so obscured by legend that hardly anybody knows how things really happened. Some legends are self-perpetuating and facts get ignored by certain authors or are unknown to them. In chronicling history, it appears to be sufficient to parrot what somebody else said to the point that the truth just appears as footnotes.
From the Great Library of Alexandria to the airplane, from Alchemists to Engineers and from Nero to Catherine the Great, Alf B. Meier examines facets of history deeply sunk in the fog of legends... and comes to funny results at times. He shows that one should question things that are generally accepted as history, recommending readers to investigate themselves.
